The City of Lubbock Health Department reported 289 additional COVID-19 recoveries among the county's residents on Labor Day. There were also 71 new cases identified.
There are currently 2,563 active cases and 6,315 recoveries. 105 deaths are attributed to COVID-19.
56 people are being treated for COVID-19 in a Lubbock hospital, including 26 people in an ICU. Hospital capacity has increased, now with nearly 600 beds open for any kind of treatment.

Nearly 100,000 tests have been administered in Lubbock County, with an overall positivity rate of about 10.7 percent. Results are pending for 902 tests. These testing figures include people who traveled to Lubbock for a screening. Their case count is reported in their home county's figures.
