The Lubbock health department reported 33 new positive COVID-19 cases and 67 more recoveries, as well as one additional death on Friday.
There are currently 1,475 active cases in Lubbock County. The total case count is 6,918. 5,349 people have tested positive and since reported a recovery. 94 people have died from the virus.
186 tests were administered today to a total of 87,456 processed since the start of the pandemic. Of those, 8,679 have tested positive, including people from other counties who came here for testing, for an overall positivity rate of 9.9%. There are 1,213 tests pending results.
66 people are being treated for the virus in Lubbock. Of those, 36 are in the ICU, the other 30 are considered floor patients. There are nearly 500 beds for any purpose at hospitals.
