No major changes for the South Plains with lots of sunshine, little to no chances for rain, and hot afternoons. Today's high near 92 with a light southeasterly wind. We will be climbing in highs by the end of the week nearing 100, and near the records.
TROPICAL STORM MARCO: As of 6am this system is to the southeastern tip of Louisiana and moving northwest around 10mph. Heavy rain, higher storm surge, as well as possible tornadoes expected as this system closes in on southern Louisiana. Good news is this Tropical storm does look to weaken by tomorrow.
TROPICAL STORM LAURA: Currently on the south side of Cuba is Laura moving west-northwest. By tomorrow morning this will be in the Gulf of Mexico and with warmer Gulf waters it is expected to strengthen into a hurricane. As of now this system looks to be the stronger storm to impact Louisiana and southeastern Texas by early Thursday morning.
Have a great afternoon! Matt will have the latest updates tonight on the News at Nine.
