The tropics are active now with 3 potential systems and 2 of them we heading for the Gulf of Mexico this weekend to impacts the south next week. As of now these systems are projected to be Category 1 strength, but that could change as well where they impact. This is rare for two tropical systems to move inland at around the same time.
TODAY: For us we are staying hot with a low chance for isolated showers and storms developing later in the afternoon and evening hours. Expect to stay dry with a few locations getting rain and possible higher wind gusts. High nearing 95 with a light southerly wind 10-15mph.
TONIGHT: Low near 66, rain chances diminish with possible isolated showers to wake up to across the eastern half of our area.
WEEKEND: The isolated shower or storm can't be ruled out but again most of the area looking dry and hot with mid and upper 90s with highs.
NEXT WEEK: The tropical systems not expected to bring us rain, so dry conditions with sunshine and hot temperatures continue.
Have a great Friday! Matt with the next updated forecast tonight on the News at Nine.
