Temperatures made it to the mid 90s yesterday and this will continue to day. Mostly sunny with a light southerly wind 5-15mph. There is a slim chance for isolated areas of showers/ storms to move out of New Mexico and the northern Panhandle this afternoon and evening. Not much expected from this activity besides more cloud cover for our area. Also a chance for overnight showers to our far eastern counties. Current radar below:
TONIGHT: Besides the low rain chances we look to stay partly cloudy with nice temperatures in the 60s again.
REST OF WEEK: We continue to climb in high temperatures with upper 90s by Friday. Some clouds expected with all the rain chances staying west in New Mexico.
EXTENDED: The ridge of higher pressure doesn't move much into next week staying in the 4-corners region. So the hot temperatures stick around with no good signs of any rain.
Have a great Wednesday! Matt with the next updated forecast tonight on the News at Nine.
