THIS AFTERNOON: It's warmed into the low to mid 90s across the area. And it's dry all around the region, although a few clouds have gone up. So far there hasn't been any successful storm development. We badly need some more rain, but no promising sign of it any time soon.
It was a cooler start this morning, down to 63 at the Lubbock airport. Several locations northwest of Lubbock dropped into the 50s, as well as Tahoka down to 59. Muleshoe dropped to 57 and Friona 55. It won't be quite that cool tonight.
TONIGHT: Mostly clear, low in Lubbock near 65. Upper 50s around Muleshoe and Bovina. Wind SE/S 5-10mph. There is a slight chance for a morning shower, generally to the north of the city.
TOMORROW: Slightly warmer and mostly sunny, high near 95. Wind S/SE 8-15mph. Low chance for a late-day storm.
HOT PATTERN: It'll edge up a degree or two through late week and should stay that hot over the weekend. There may be a few more storms late this weekend into early next week, but nothing significant to mention at this point. The heat will probably hold through next week.
Have a great rest of your day. Bobby will have a full update here early tomorrow.
