THIS AFTERNOON: It's sunny and really hot, with triple-digit heat across most of the area. There are also a few isolated storms popping up over the western South Plains. These will slowly move east. Here is current FOX34 VIPIR:
TONIGHT: An isolated shower or storm is possible, mostly clear. Low near 76, wind S/SW 5-15mph.
TOMORROW: Hot and sunny, high near 105. Wind SW/S 10-18mph. Like today, a pop-up storm is possible, though the chance at any one location is low.
LOOKING AHEAD: Pretty much the same level of heat Friday. A few nighttime storms are possible Friday and Saturday, though the chance once again is low. The upper-level high pressure ridge won't be right on top of us next week, which means it won't be nearly as hot. There also may be a few late-day storms starting Sunday.
Bobby will have a full update to the forecast here tomorrow morning.
