More heat with a lower chance for rain chances next couple of days. Temperatures climb int the rage of 101 to 105 degrees for our area, Lubbock nearing 102. Southwesterly wind 10-15mph, and the possibility for a pop up shower or storm can't be completely ruled out.
TONIGHT: Mostly clear and mild with morning temperatures in the 70s again.
REST OF THE WEEK: Highs will climb a few more degrees nearing 104 Thursday, 103 Friday which would tie the record high. A slim chance for showers and storms return late Friday into Saturday.
EXTENDED: As we look into next week some good chances as the ridge of high pressure pushes further northwest across Arizona and Utah. This will allow upper level system to dig across the mid west, then a front looks to get us out of these 100s by Monday. For now rain chances remain low with a little bit of cloud cover.
Have a great Wednesday! Matt with the next updated forecast tonight on the News at Nine.
