Saturday: City reports 41 new positive COVID-19 cases; 1,680 active cases in Lubbock County

LUBBOCK, Texas -

The Lubbock health department reported 41 new positive cases of COVID-19 and 20 more recoveries Saturday. No additional deaths were confirmed, with the number of people who've died from the virus remaining at 80.

There are now 1,680 active cases, with 4,299 confirmed cases now listed as recovered. 6,059 people have been infected with the virus in our county since mid-March.

815 tests were administered today, for a total of 76,344 tests processed since the start of the pandemic. 

There are 103 people hospitalized -- four less than yesterday. Of those, 51 are in specialized intensive care and 52 others are "floor patients."
