WOLFFORTH, Texas -

Next year, a Frenship High School grad will get another $1,000 thanks to this year's graduating seniors.

The Class of 2020 has donated $1,000 to the Frenship Foundation. It's to fund the Fallen Tiger Memorial Scholarship.

The class is also giving money to fund next year's graduation since the Class of 2021 missed last September's fundraising.

"I think this will really help this class's legacy. They didn't have to go out of their way and do something like this but they felt called to do that. I think these students show a great example for this community and showed how involved this school district is with the community," Jake Mahan, with the Frenship Foundation, said.

The Class of 2020 also contributed to Frenship High, presenting the principle with some money to help cover the school's COVID-19 related expenses.
