THIS AFTERNOON: It's mostly sunny and warm across the South Plains. There are some storms developing over New Mexico and Colorado. Some of those may make it into our area later tonight. Here is a current look at FOX34 VIPIR:
TONIGHT: Partly cloudy, slight chance for a shower or storm. Storm chance is greater up in the Panhandle. Low near 70, wind SE/E 10-15mph.
TOMORROW: Hot and mostly sunny, high near 98. Wind SE/S 10-18mph.
Slim chance for a shower or storm tomorrow night.
HOT PATTERN: Upper-level high pressure building in from the west means several sunny and hot days are in store. We still can't rule out an isolated storm, but over all the rain chance will stay low through this week into next week. Each afternoon should make it to the upper 90s. The high temperature may drop off by a degree or two early next week, but not major change.
Have a great rest of your day. Bobby will have a full update to the forecast here early tomorrow.
