Frenship ISD announces reopening guide for upcoming school year

Posted: Updated:

Frenship ISD published its reopening guide for parents Friday outlining virtual and face-to-face instruction.

The 20 page guide covers health precautions the district is taking to ensure the safety of students and staff.

The district issued the following email to parents:

Dear Frenship ISD families,
As summer winds down, Frenship is excited to welcome back students and staff for the 2020-21 school year that begins on August 17. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Frenship will offer two instructional options:
Reopening Frenship has required much collaboration and thoughtful action to ensure the safety of our staff and students as our top priority. While it is not possible to eliminate all risk of furthering the spread of COVID-19, there are many steps we can take to significantly reduce the risks to students, teachers, staff, and their families.
Frenship has created a Parent Guide that contains all the information you’ll need to know to make the best decision for your student(s) and family. In this guide, you will find information on Frenship’s safety and cleaning protocols, operational adjustments, instructional adjustments, technology plan, and more. We encourage you to read the Parent Guide, as well as the Reopening Frenship section of our website to make the most informed decision.
Today, July 24, registration begins, as well as enrollment for Virtual Learning. To enroll your child(ren) in Virtual Learning, you must complete the Virtual Learning Commitment Form no later than Monday, August 3 at 11:59 p.m.
All families are reminded to complete the Online Verification in Skyward for new and returning students, regardless of whether your child(ren) will attend school in-person or virtually.
Important Dates:
  • July 24: Registration and Online Verification begins
  • July 24 – August 3: Virtual Learning enrollment window
  • August 17: First day of school
Frenship understands these decisions significantly impact your family. We are happy to answer any questions you have. Please contact your campus principal or call Student Services at 806.866.9541. We will continue to communicate important details as we begin a new year. We are looking forward to Seeking Perfection and Capturing Excellence for every learner in the upcoming school year.
The guide includes frequently asked questions along with measures students and staff must follow. View a copy of the document below:
