Lubbock ISD students who choose remote learning may participate in UIL activities, electives

Posted: Updated:
LUBBOCK, Texas -

Lubbock ISD students who take online classes only this year can still participate in all UIL activities and electives.

Trustees approved the decision Thursday morning. They added a requirement that all students, online or in-person, must attend class periods assigned for league activities and electives. That will include students enrolled in career and technical education courses.

Students who need to register for classes can do so online, where they'll choose in-person or remote learning.

The first day of school is set for August 17.
