We had some good rain totals yesterday for parts of the South Plains while others stayed dry. More of this type of activity today with showers in the later morning, then scattered storms this afternoon. Pockets of heavier rain with downburst bringing some higher wind gusts to parts of the area. Most spots likely staying or very light rain totals.
Current radar below:
TODAY: High nearing 91 with a light southeast wind 5-12mph.
TONIGHT: The chance for showers and storms diminish through the evening hours as we lose daytime heating. Partly cloudy with the low near 70.
THURSDAY: Another day with some isolated showers and storms bringing parts of the area some rain, high near 92.
EXTENDED: Rain chances diminish this weekend, but isolated showers or storms can't be ruled out. Mostly sunny with highs in the lower to mid 90s through Saturday, then more clouds expected into next week. We will be watching for more possible rain into next week. Models as of this morning has backed off the rain it showed yesterday, but this still has time to change.
Have a great Wednesday! Pray for more rain and Matt with the next updated forecast tonight on the News at Nine.
