TUESDAY: One new death, 105 new COVID-19 cases

LUBBOCK, Texas -

The City of Lubbock reported its 67th death due to COVID-19 Tuesday, along with 105 newly-confirmed cases and 113 recoveries. There are now 2,206 active cases, with recoveries still outpacing them at 2,383.

Since mid-March, Lubbock has confirmed 4,656 cases.

There are 101 patients hospitalized with a confirmed case, with 42 patients in specialized intensive care. With other normal operations continuing in our area, that leaves more than 400 beds available for treatment.

There have been more than 59,000 tests administered in Lubbock County since mid-March, with 5,567 returning positive. That 9.4% overall positivity rate includes people who have traveled from other counties to get tested.
