THIS AFTERNOON: Scattered showers and thunderstorms have developed, roughly along a SW to NE line across the area. In typical summertime fashion, these are slow-movers that are producing downpours in a few locations. But also each one is so small that the coverage isn't great. Here is current FOX34 VIPIR:
These will linger, with some additional development possible, through the rest of this afternoon into this evening. Some may produce strong wind gusts.
TONIGHT: Partly cloudy, low near 70. A few showers are possible through early morning. Wind E/SE 5-10mph.
TOMORROW: Similar to today, scattered showers and storms are expected. The chance at any one location is 30%. High temp near 92, wind S/SE 5-15mph.
THURSDAY: Lower chance for a storm, partly cloudy, high near 93.
LOOKING AHEAD: Warm and mostly sunny is the main theme late this week into the weekend. There are a few disturbances moving in from the Gulf, which will bring rain downstate. There's nothing promising just yet up this way, although it does look like one of those pushes of moisture may bring rain to at least the southern half of our area late Sunday into Monday.
Have a great rest of your day. Bobby will have a complete update to the forecast here early tomorrow.
