Some good rain to our northwestern counties from storms that moved out of New Mexico for last night. Here are some of those rainfall totals as of 7:30 from Tech Mesonet:
TODAY: Cloud cover breaks apart for a mostly sunny afternoon, high near 95. Southerly wind stays light 8-15mph. An isolated pop shower or storms possible late in the day, nothing much expected from this.
TONIGHT: Partly cloudy with the low near 72.
TUESDAY: Not great rain chances, but some models do hit some isolated showers and storms making it out of New Mexico into our northwestern counties late. Temperatures continue with mid 90s... much better than the 100s, but still a little toasty.
EXTENDED: Temperatures continue around the seasonal average through the weekend in our highs and low temperatures. Plus some cloud cover continues with no good signs of rain.
Have a great Monday! Matt will have the next updated forecast tonight on the News at Nine.
