LUBBOCK, Texas -

A Lubbock grand jury has indicted a man accused of shooting and killing a man in west Lubbock back in May.

Christopher Carmona, 22, is charged with the murder Walter Harper, 23, near 50th Street and Bangor Ave. Police say the shooting was over a woman.

Court records show Carmona was at his girlfriend's apartment when another man she was seeing showed up. Investigators say Harper opened the door for Carmona - who was drunk at the time.

They got into a fight over the woman and Harper went to leave. Police say Carmona pulled a gun and shot Harper wounding him. Harper ran to 50th Street then Carmona shot him several more times, according to police.

Harper collapsed a block later where he died.

Carmona's arrest warrant shows he told police Harper shot first with an AR-15. Investigators didn't report finding any weapon matching the description at the scene.

Apartment surveillance video capture the entire attack.

If convicted, Carmona face up to life in prison with the possibility for parole.
