An investigation into a kidnapping in Hobbs, New Mexico from early June has lead to seven arrests including some confessions, according to the Lea County Sheriff's Office.

According to the report, the victim told investigators he was attacked at a home by several people, then taken to a hotel room where others were waiting and he was beaten again. The man told investigators his attackers used a baseball bat, axe, and brass knuckles. He also said he was pistol-whipped and threatened with being shot. In each instance, he was told to clean up his own blood spatter.

The victim managed to escape his kidnappers and get help to call law enforcement.

Investigators found evidence of the beatings at both locations including blood and weapons.

The arrested are: Abel Aguirre, 38; Diego Perez, 20; Edgar Milligan, 40; Kimberly Flanagan, 36; Anthony Acevedo, 32; Henry Land, 20.

According to the report, Perez and Flanagan both admitted to beating the victim and investigators believe Aguirre and Land planned the whole thing. Investigators did not include a reason for the kidnapping in their report.
