Over the next several days it is going to be best to get things done outside earlier than later. Very hot temperatures on the way as a ridge of high pressure builds to our west and stays in place into next week.
TODAY: High nearing 100, mostly sunny with an isolated shower or storms not to be ruled out. Southerly wind a light breeze 10-15mph.
TONIGHT: Mostly clear with lows in the 70s.
THURSDAY: Sunny and hot with the high climbing to 103.
EXTENDED: Again hotter days and new possible records on the way especially this weekend and to start next week with temperatures in the 105-110 degree range. You might be asking what is the record for consecutive 100 degree days? That record is 12 days in a row set back in 1980.
Have a great Wednesday! Matt with the next check of these hot days tonight on the News at Nine.
