Lubbock County Judge approves gatherings over 10 people

LUBBOCK, Texas -

There can be outdoor gatherings of more than 10 people in Lubbock County.

Judge Curtis Parrish approved the gatherings on Monday, July 6, after the Independence Day weekend.
Governor Abbott gave county judges the decision last week. Judge Parrish's declaration still urges people to follow CDC guidelines, including social distancing.

This is also a reminder that Governor Abbott issued a mandate that requires facial coverings in public, with some exceptions. You can find that story here.
