Plenty of heat over the next several days but temperatures do drop some starting tomorrow. Today will be hot and dry again with highs in the 100s, southwest wind becomes south and lighter than the last few days 8-15mph. A few storms near our southeastern counties will be possible, but will likely be out of our area.
TONIGHT: Cloud cover increases with mid and high clouds with the dry line retreating back in our area. Wind speeds look to pick back up 10-18mph with our lows staying mild with upper 60s and 70s.
REST OF WEEK: Highs drop with more mid and upper 90s with a partly cloudy sky. With some moisture in place isolated showers and storms will be possible in the afternoon and evening hours. Nothing can be promised in precipitation and much of the area looks to stay dry.
EXTENDED: Same set up this weekend with a few isolated showers and storms possible. Since much of our area is and has been dry, the risk for wildfires continues. Keep this in mind as you plan your weekend with fireworks. Highs look to continue in the 90s into next week with the partly cloudy sky, lows in the 60s and 70s.
Have a great first day to July! Matt with the next updated forecast tonight on the News at Nine.
