Hale County reports 50 new COVID-19 cases, firefighter tests positive

LUBBOCK, Texas -

 

Hale County reported 50 new cases of the novel coronavirus Monday, June 29. This is the largest reported number of new cases the county has since since the beginning of the pandemic.

The county now has 112 active COVID-19 cases. 166 people in the area have recovered and 7 have died from the virus.

There are 285 total confirmed cases in Hale County.

The county also reported its second employee of the city, a firefighter, has been infected with the virus, and is now in quarantine.
