THIS AFTERNOON: It's reached 102 thus far in Lubbock, with much of the area up around 100. We've got plenty more of this over the next week. The air is dry. Combined with the wind, this has elevated the wildfire risk. And the risk will be higher next few days.
TONIGHT: Clear and warm, low near 70. Wind SW/W 10-18mph.
TOMORROW: High near 101, sunny and breezy. Wind W 12-24mph.
HOT WEEK: It'll stay hot and dry next few days, with the temperature coming down slightly, along with an increase in humidity, by late this week into the Fourth of July weekend. There might be some storms late this week into the weekend, but nothing promising at this point.
Have a great rest of your day. Bobby will have a full update posted here early tomorrow.
