Hot temperatures over the next several days with the hottest into next week. Highs today like yesterday in the mid 90s for the area. Southerly wind becomes a light breeze 10-18mph with a mostly sunny sky.
TONIGHT AND LATE SATURDAY: Some isolated rain can't be ruled out mainly to our west near the TX//NM border. More cloud cover for the rest of us with lows in the upper 60s and low 70s.
NEXT WEEK: Temperatures climb Sunday with possible low 100s for parts of the area. These 100s continue to spread across the area for most of next week. Wind speeds do increase becoming breezy 15-25mph starting Sunday and continues through Tuesday. With multiple days of heat find ways to stay cool if you have to be outside, try to get things done early with cooler temperatures, and always check the back seat if you have children.
Have a great Friday! Matt with the next updated forecast tonight on the News at Nine.
