Rain moved out of our area overnight with some rain near the Texas/New Mexico border, the rest of us stayed dry. Mostly sunny this afternoon and temperatures will be a tad warmer than yesterday nearing 90 area wide. More showers and storms to develop in the higher terrain of New Mexico, but less likely to make it in our area after the sunsets.
TONIGHT: Low nearing 65 with clouds increasing from the activity in New Mexico.
REST OF WEEK: Not a good set up for rain but isolates showers or storms can't be ruled out moving in from the northwest. Highs climb some with lower to mid 90s and wind speeds start to increase for a light breeze.
EXTENDED: A ridge of high pressure builds over Texas over the weekend. This will bring triple digit heat to start next week with little to no rain chances. Wind speeds climb for a breezy weekend with some cloud cover.
Have a great Wednesday! Matt has the next updated forecast tonight on the News at Nine.
