No new COVID-19 cases reported in Hale County Friday, 48 recoveries

Hale County, Texas -

48 Hale County residents have recovered from the novel coroanvirus, according to its daily report issued Friday.

No additional COVID-19 cases were reported within Hale County. 57 confirmed cases have been reported, with 41 cases in Plainview, two in Abernathy, one in Edmonson, nine in Hale Center and four in Petersburg.

Four total deaths have been reported -- two people have died from the virus in Hale Center and two in Petersburg.

30 cases were spread locally, 24 were spread outside the county and three cases are currently under investigation.


The South Plains Public Health District reports of the 1013 COVID-19 test administered, 797 have yielded negative results with 159 tests pending.

0 to 20 years old - 8
21 to 40 years old - 19
41 to 60 years old - 20
61 and older - 10
