Lubbock positive test rate drops below six percent

The City of Lubbock confirmed two new cases of COVID-19 among Lubbock County residents Sunday. This brings the total to 664. Of these 175 are listed as active, 439 recovered and 50 deaths.

There have now been 15,204 COVID-19 tests performed in Lubbock. Of these, 900 tests returned a positive. This is now a positive rate below six percent, at 5.92 percent. This rate has trended lower over the past several weeks. 11 tests have results pending. Some of these tests are for people who live in other counties and are not included in the Lubbock case count.
