State agencies directed to trim budgets
Like businesses and agencies everywhere, the state of Texas will have to cut back. The governor, lieutenant governor and house speaker instructed state agencies to plan for five-percent budget cuts.
City leaders, health officials remain optimistic
The downward trend of active cases and the percentage of people testing positive were highlighted at the City of Lubbock's weekly news conference. Councilman Massengale reminded everyone although the city and state are re-opening, it does not mean it's time to stop safety protocols and act like the pandemic is over.

Wells Fargo is the latest company to warn of a scam. This time it's a phishing call offering debt consolidation at zero percent.
