Friday: Lubbock at 616 COVID-19 cases; 193 active; 373 recoveries and 50 deaths

LUBBOCK, Texas -

The City of Lubbock health department reported two additional cases of the novel coronavirus and 18 more recoveries among the county's residents Friday. This brings the total case count to 616. Of those who were tested and received a positive, 193 cases are considered active and 373 are listed as recovered.

The total number of people whose death is attributed to COVID-19 is 50.

Through its investigations into the positive COVID-19 cases, the Health Department has identified IHOP at 3911 South Loop 289 as a possible community exposure site. The exposure date is May 12 from 7:00  p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
