Monday: Hale County reports 23 COVID-19 recoveries

LUBBOCK, Texas -

23 Hale County residents have recovered from the coronavirus according to its daily report issued Monday.

Within Hale County, 39 confirmed COVID-19 cases have been reported, with 28 cases in Plainview, one in Edmonson, eight in Hale Center and two in Petersburg. Four total deaths have been reported -- two people have died from the virus in Hale Center and two in Petersburg.

22 cases were spread locally, 16 were spread outside the county and one case is currently under investigation.

The South Plains Public Health District reports of the 444 COVID-19 test administered, 411 have yielded negative results with 7 tests pending.

0 to 20 years old - 5
21 to 40 years old - 13
41 to 60 years old - 12
61 and older - 9
