THIS AFTERNOON: It's been a cooler day with plenty of sun. The NE wind was gusty earlier, but has diminished a bit. The temperature is in the 70s.
TONIGHT: Mostly clear, low near 49. Wind SE/S 5-15mph.
TOMORROW: Sunny and a little warmer, high near 82. This is around what's typical for this time of year. Wind SE 10-18mph will bring a little more humidity into the air.
HOTTER THURSDAY: We'll probably have some low clouds Thursday morning. But then the dry line will mix well east of Lubbock, leading to a hot and windy day. High near 96. Well east of Lubbock, a few thunderstorms are possible late Thursday. The Storm Prediction Center has highlighted the Rolling Plains east into Texoma with the risk for a few severe storms Thursday. While the chance for a storm here isn't great, if one develops it could become strong.
COOLER DAYS: Another front will move through late Thursday, bringing a strong north wind on Friday. The high will be in the upper 60s Friday, followed by a slight warming trend over the weekend.
While it's not a great chance, we are starting to see signs of some rain and storms by early next week.
Have a great rest of your day. Bobby will have a full update to the forecast here early tomorrow.
