Stars & Stripes Drive-In to open this weekend

Posted: Updated:

With Texas Governor Greg Abbott allowing movie theaters to open this weekend, the Stars & Stripes Drive-In will be the first in Lubbock with screenings planned.

From theater management:

  • Welcome Back Ticket special $6. For a contactless ticket transaction and due to our reduced capacity in parking lots, we recommend purchasing advance tickets.
  • We appreciate your patience and understanding of temporary changes to keep you, fellow guests and our team safe.
  • 50's Cafe is TEMPORARILY CLOSED. We plan to offer concessions in the coming days. Soon we will add Rockin' Eats back to our menu and provide an online ordering option.
  • Outside food is permitted at this time, but please throw away your trash to help keep our cleaning team safe.
  • Due to limited capacity, restrooms are for emergency use only. Please GO before you go to the drive-in!
  • Groups entering the 50's Cafe will be limited to 2 people only.
  • Please wear a face mask before entering our 50's Cafe.
  • Kids must remain at the car at all times. Playground and green spaces are currently closed.
  • Park every other parking space and keep chairs/tables within your space to allow proper social distancing within the parking lots.
  • If you are sick, running a fever or have been exposed to COVID-19, please stay home.
  • For the safety of everyone, these rules must be followed or you will be asked to leave without a refund.
