THIS AFTERNOON: It's sunny and not nearly as hot as yesterday. The NE wind was stronger this morning. It'll continue to diminish rest of today.
TONIGHT: Clear and a little cooler, low near 48. Wind E/S 5-10mph.
TOMORROW: Sunny and breezy, high near 89. Wind SW 12-22mph. Record for the date is 94, last reached in 2013.
HOT DAYS AHEAD: As the upper-level high pressure ridge settles in across the region it's going to get even hotter, with upper 90s Friday and Saturday. We'll probably see the temperature drop by just a few degrees Sunday, then jump back up again Monday.
Here are the record highs for upcoming days:
Thursday - 94 (2013)
Friday - 96 (2012)
Saturday - 97 (2012)
Sunday - 98 (2012)
Monday - 104 (1947)
Tuesday - 99 (2014)
Looking ahead long-range, computers are showing some humidity returning to the region and perhaps a few storms mid to late next week. But it's too far out for anything meaningful, just a trend we'll monitor.
Have a great rest of your day. Bobby will have a full update posted here tomorrow morning.
