Tuesday: Lubbock at 507 COVID-19 cases; 266 active; 198 recoveries and 43 deaths

LUBBOCK, Texas -

The City of Lubbock confirmed three additional COVID-19 cases among the county's residents Tuesday. No new deaths were reported.

The total number of cases is 507. Of those people who were tested and received a positive: 266 are active cases, 198 are recovered and 43 people have died.

The Lubbock City Council will meet tonight and use the task force's findings and Governor Abbott's recommendations to decide the nest steps toward reopening.

Lubbock County Judge Curtis Parrish also extended Lubbock County's disaster declaration Monday through May 30.
