Police arrest four after shots fired early Tuesday morning

Lubbock police arrested four suspect after reports of shots fired just before 12:30 a.m Tuesday near North Cherry Ave. and East Baylor St.
The caller told police there was a large gathering in the area when a fight broke out and shots were fired. A DPS helicopter in the area noticed a vehicle speeding from the incident.

An officer attempted to stop the suspect in the 2900 block of East 7th St., but two of the fled inside a home.
The officer followed the suspects into the home and was able to arrest two suspects from the vehicle and two suspects he located inside the resident.
While conducting a sweep for other occupants, the officer spotted a stolen gun, narcotics and paraphernalia. A search warrant was obtained and additional evidence associated with the trafficking of narcotics was located.

Kenaris Jackson, 24, and Dante Willard, 22, were arrested and charged with possession of a stolen firearm, possession of marijuana and evading arrest.

Bernadette Cooper, 51, and Gregory Murray, 55, were arrested on outstanding warrants and charged with possession of a stolen firearm and possession of marijuana.
