LUBBOCK, Texas -

Lubbock Police have identified the man law enforcement shot and killed after he threatened deadly force against them Thursday.

Texas Anti-Gang Agents say they saw a stolen car near MLK and East Dartmouth. When they tried to make a stop, the suspect sped off.

The vehicle stopped near East 10th and Ute Ave. and three suspects ran away. Police were able to apprehend one suspect, Tabrick Johnson, 52.

This is when law enforcement spotted another carjacking and the driver, Jasman Washington, 31, sped off.

Washington eventually lost control near the airport. When officers, deputies and troopers tried to surround him he starting ramming patrol units, pinning an officer against his vehicle.

Lubbock Police report this is when officers shot and killed Washington.

A State Trooper and a Lubbock Police Officer were checked out at the hospital for minor injuries.

The third suspect has not been identified.

The Texas Rangers are now investigating, which is standard protocol when deadly force is used.
