The cold front moved through Lubbock around 3am and brought the gusty northerly wind and colder temperatures.
TODAY: The gusty wind drop after the morning hours. Cloudy through the first half of the day, then some sunshine. It will be around 20-25 degrees colder today with highs near 60.
TONIGHT: Low near 38, southeast wind will return some moisture with a chance for fog and low clouds.
WEEKEND: Clouds push east through Saturday with a dryline in our area, but unlike last week not expecting storms. The wind will increase from the southwest 15-30mph as drier air moves in. Temperatures will be milder with highs in the lower to mid 70s, then a beautiful day with upper 70s Sunday.
NEXT WEEK: Wind speeds climb again starting Monday and even strong Tuesday. This will be ahead of an upper level system that might bring a few storms in the are Wednesday. Better chances for now look east of Lubbock. Highs will stay mild in the 70s and 80s, lows warming to the 40s and 50s.
