AG Ken Paxton argues voting by mail 'violation' of the law

AUSTIN, Texas -

Attorney General Ken Paxton says expanding voting by mail in Texas will lead to more voter fraud.

On Wednesday, a Travis County District Judge entered an order that would expand voters' ability to submit by mail.

The judge's decision would allow anyone who claims a fear of contracting the coronavirus to do that.

In a town hall with the Republican Party of Texas, AG Paxton said the state's election code doesn't allow for a "fear" to stop in-person voting. It requires disability of illness.

He's already filed in the Third Court of Appeals in Central Texas.

Paxton says he's willing to take the case to the state Supreme Court to decide.
