Due to exposure to COVID-19, some have to be separated. My Place Hotel Lubbock is keeping first responders safe and healthy.

"Our hotel is built for this," My Place Hotel Lubbock General Manager Ryan Costen said.

As an extended stay, My Place Hotel Lubbock is considered an essential business, providing a room for many people who need a place to lay their head.

With the motto 'we take care of people,' the General Manager said the hotel is perfect for safe keeping.

"Our rooms are already equipped with everything they need with a full kitchenette so they can stay here for a long period of time," Costen said.

The My Place Hotel brand claims a high standard for cleaning and sanitizing.

"Pretty much any thing you can think of that someone would have access to touch, we're frequently sanitizing those," Costen said.

Now that health care professions are staying, staff are taking extra precautions.

"We have isolated all those rooms to one floor and we have also limited our staff exposure when cleaning those rooms," Costen said.

My Place Hotel is donating 5% to the First Responders Children's Foundation and the Lubbock location is offering rooms to front line workers at no charge.
