THIS AFTERNOON: It's been a sunny, breezy and somewhat cool day. The temperature has climbed into the 60s. It was a chilly start, low of 33 at the airport with mid to lower 20s over the northwestern South Plains and southwestern Panhandle. The pattern is pretty quiet around the region today, with our next front just over 24 hours away.
TONIGHT: Mostly clear, low near 43. The wind won't back off all that much, S 10-18mph.
TOMORROW: Warmer and breezy with a lot of sun, high near 80. Wind SW 12-24mph.
The next cold front will move through tomorrow night, bringing a north wind of 20-30mph.
NEXT FEW DAYS: It'll drop to the mid 30s Friday morning, with another freeze likely Muleshoe, Olton, Dimmitt and the northwestern part of our area. It'll feel colder with the north wind still gusty to start the day.
Partly to mostly cloudy Friday afternoon, high near 61.
A few isolated storms may develop Saturday afternoon, though it doesn't look like a great chance. If any do form, they'll likely be east, off of the Caprock.
Next week will turn warmer with plenty of wind. The rain chance looks a little bit better around Wednesday, though it's too far out for much clarity at this point.
Have a great rest of your day. Bobby will have a full update to the forecast here early tomorrow.
