We have picked up an inch or more in some of our northern counties. Here in Lubbock we had some light snow, but didn't accumulate on the ground. Here is the current radar:
TODAY: The chance for snow diminishes in the morning hours, then staying cloud for much of the day. High near 47, wind speeds staying light our of the east/northeast.
TONIGHT: Cloud cover breaks apart and clears out starting late in the afternoon/evening hours. This will allow temperatures to plummet again tonight with lows below freezing for Lubbock (near 30) and our northern counties.
WEDNESDAY: A 20 degree warm up with a breezy southwest wind 15-22mph, high near 64.
REST OF THE WEEK: We continue to warm to near 80 Thursday ahead of a cold front that will drop us back to the lower 60s Friday. Wind speeds look to stay gusty through the rest of the week.
WEEKEND: Temperatures on the rise again nearing 80 by Sunday with lows in the 40s. The gusty wind continues with a quick chance for showers and storms on Saturday.
Have a great Tuesday and stay warm! Matt with the next updated forecast tonight on the News at Nine.
