Saturday: 151 Lubbock COVID-19 cases, 21 recoveries, 4 deaths

LUBBOCK -

The City of Lubbock health department reported 13 additional confirmed COVID-19 cases among Lubbock County residents Saturday. This brings the total to 151. 

Also, one additional person was added to the "recovered" total, for people who were tested and received a positive and have completed the necessary isolation period, bringing the count to 21.

The number of residents who have died with confirmed COVID-19 remains at four.

Through 4 p.m. Saturday, about 8.7 percent of tests administered in Lubbock returned a positive, 185 cases. 131 other tests are pending results. 1,801 out of 2,117 tests administered, 85 percent, received a negative result. Health officials earlier explained some tests administered in Lubbock are for people who live in other counties and are not reported in the Lubbock case count.

21 people who are hospitalized in Lubbock are confirmed to have COVID-19. Another 31 people are hospitalized and believed to have COVID-19, but have either not been tested or their results are not yet in. 

56 percent of Lubbock confirmed cases are female.
