A state district judge in Amarillo voided an election on the GOP's Super Tuesday ballot.
She's ordered a new election for a seat on the 7th Court of Appeals.
Republicans Larry Doss and Steven Denny are running for that seat, but two counties in the election area didn't have it on their ballots that day.
Those were Cochran County, in our area, and Collingsworth County in the panhandle.
The state GOP claimed full responsibility for the error. Denny and Doss went to court over it and District Judge Stacy Trotter's called a mulligan.
The new election will be July 14, or whenever the state holds its primary run-off elections. Those were delayed because of the coronavirus.
Only voters who cast as Republicans on Super Tuesday can decide this race, just like a run-off.
