TODAY: High near 84, lots of sunshine with a west/southwest wind 10-20mph for a light breeze.
TONIGHT: Cold front move through the area into the early morning hours. This rushes in colder air with lows dropping to the 30s and 40s, with a stronger northerly wind to make it feel colder. Cloud cover will increase with some sprinkles possible to our eastern counties.
FRIDAY: Ending the week with highs in the 60s and becoming mostly sunny. Wind speeds will calm later in the day to around 10-20mph.
WEEKEND: It will be cold Saturday morning with morning temperatures near or below freezing. Near 34 in Lubbock with cool afternoon temperatures staying in the 50s & 60s. We do warm to the 70s Sunday with more cloud cover. Both days have a small chance for some isolated showers with a few storms, but neither day looks promising for wide spread rain if any at all.
NEXT WEEK: Highs returning to the 80s and wind speeds become breezy Sunday through Tuesday.
Have a great Thursday! Matt with the next updated forecast tonight on the News at Nine.
