After a lot of clouds this morning we saw some breaks this afternoon, which is also when the wind got a bit stronger. Overall the pattern looks fairly mild over the next week, with the exception of Friday and Saturday.
TONIGHT: Clouds thinning, breezy. Low near 53, wind SW 12-22mph.
THURSDAY: Sunny and not as windy as today. High near 85, wind SW/W 10-18mph.
COOLER DAYS: The cold front should be edging into the northern Texas Panhandle tomorrow evening and will move across our area by early Friday. It'll bring a strong north wind of 20-30mph. Both Friday and Saturday will only reach the 60s. Definitely not "cold", but cooler than the rest of the week.
It doesn't look like there will be much moisture to work with here. Once the front makes it farther south, other parts of the state will have a shot at some showers and storms.
LOOKING AHEAD: There is a slight chance for a shower or storm Sunday, though the latest data is backing off on that trend. Next week should return to breezy and mild days.
Have a great rest of your evening. I'll see you from our home office tonight on the News at Nine. Bobby will have an update posted here tomorrow morning.
