Look Around Lubbock: fostering pets

Posted: Updated:

There are about 150 animals at the Lubbock Animal Shelter and Adoption Center that need a forever home. If you don't know if you want to adopt an animal permanently, you can do a trial adoption for two weeks and see how your furry friend fits with your family and lifestyle. Once you adopt, the animal is all yours.

The Director of Lubbock Animal Services, Steven Greene, said fostering can ease the stress of being home alone for you and the animal.

"The stress of a shelter is just unbelievable on pets and so when you get them out and foster them, it gives them a chance to de-stress and give them a home life," Greene said.

The Animal Adoption Service is open for curbside service.
