It reached 92 at the Lubbock airport Thursday, breaking the record for the date of 88. While it'll be warm next few days, it won't be this hot.
TONIGHT: Mostly clear, low in the mid 50s. Wind finally diminishing, SW 5-12mph.
TOMORROW: Stronger wind with the high in the lower 80s. Wind SW 20-32mph, with some gusts over 45mph. This will elevate the wildfire risk some.
SATURDAY: Cooler and wind, W/NW wind 20-30mph. High in the mid 60s with lots of sun.
LOOKING AHEAD: Sunday will climb back to the 70s. An approaching storm system may bring some showers or thunderstorms Monday, better chance farther east. We'll return to sunny and mild days through next week.
