United delivers flowers to caregivers on the front lines of COVID-19

LUBBOCK, Texas -

United is thanking caregivers in our area for their hard work as they try to contain and stop the coronavirus.

The grocery chain delivered flowers as a way to say thanks to the men and women working to keep us all safe.

"We've had so many folks in the community wanting to say thanks to our care givers so today we're actually getting flowers from United which is an awesome celebration for our staff," Covenant Medical Center CEO Chris Lancaster said. "We've known that our nursing and our front-line care givers are heroes, so it's great to see people in the community start to recognize that as well."

Lancaster says donations and added support from the community helps boost morale as caregivers deal with the fallout.
