It's climbed into the 80s across our area this afternoon. It's going to be even warmer tomorrow.
TONIGHT: Low near 55, mostly clear. Wind SW 10-15mph.
THURSDAY: Warm, mostly sunny and breezy. High near 91 in Lubbock, which would break the daily record high of 88 set in 1956. It's going to be even hotter off of the Caprock, with mid to upper 90s around Matador, Spur and Paducah.
NEXT FEW DAYS: Not as warm, but still well above average on Friday, high 79, partly cloudy. The wind will be stronger, SW/NW 20-32mph, gusts 40-50mph.
It'll a little cooler this weekend, still strong wind Saturday. A storm system early next week will keep the wind going Monday. It may also lead to a few showers or thunderstorms.
Have a great day. This update comes from my house. I hope you're adapting to the work-from-home world, if that's the case for you. It's been great seeing so many people when my wife or I take the dog Harry for a walk. We can keep that social distance and still get out. Bobby will have the next update posted here early tomorrow.
